Plenty of gaming sites like to explore the turgid offerings publishers thrust upon an unsuspecting public with a look at the worst box art to besmirch our shelves every year. But seldom does the work of the smaller Indie developer get considered, relegated so often to virtual, not physical shelves and unseen by the masses. But just because these games exist on virtual shelves does not mean that box art is not every bit as important to sales for them. For most gamers, the artwork presented to a user browsing the marketplace will be the first port of call, the first chance for a developer to catch the eye of a potential buyer.
